This large Banded Gila Monster egg weighed 72 gms. (1.67 oz.) and measured 74 mm x 35 mm (2.91" x 1.38").

 

Gila Monster eggs can be candled (much like chicken eggs) to determine fertility. A visible blood ring indicates a developing embryo.
